 New Creation have recorded 17 of their favourite worship songs on this album, which is being sold in support of the youth and mission work of the Church. It has been compiled so it may be used as a meditation and tracks include:

The CD has 17 tracks, recorded over two days, and includes many of the group’s favourite songs. It reflects differing types of worship style, from quiet and thoughtful to celebratory and powerful. The group hopes to sell 500 copies of the CD raising funds for the mission and youth work of the Parish Church All of the tracks on the CD have been arranged using individual, group, male and female voices with instrumental and a capella episodes. This is a wonderful way to use all the individual talents of the members whilst retaining the groups identity. The first track, “We’re here for the Harvest” (Chris Bowmaker) introduces an impressive and powerful beginning. The CD moves on to expressive arrangements of “Lord, I lift your name on high” (Rick Founds), and favourites such as “Purify my heart” (Brian Doerksen), “I will offer up my life” (Matt Redman) and several tracks by the popular Christian composer Graham Kendrick. “The light of Christ” (Donald Fisher) is very reflective, by the use of male and female voices. Perhaps it is the selection of the last three tracks that cements this CD; “O Lord hear my prayer” (Jaques Berthier) immediately leads into a stunning arrangement of “Here I am Lord “(Daniel Schutte). The final track, “The Grace” with musical interludes, makes a perfect end to the CD. |
